trees

these are the trees along the road in Makati. all of them are decorated with star bulb up to the leaves. and during the evening it shines beautifully.everywhere. it's almost Christmas :-)

after workshop? shop!

:-) there is no word like tired for shopping hehehe... so still using our formal dress, me carried banner and my colleague carried laptop went to Market-Market . Karena letaknya pas di belakang gedung PNOC , tempat kita ngadain workshop, me and my colleague motong jalan kaki lewat belakang, ngelewatin rumput2, kunang2, sambil gelap2an hehehe... it was already 7 PM. jadi kita mutusin makan dulu di Greenwich Restaurant . It is somewhat look like an Italian Restaurant . Yummy banget. Saya order yang paling enak di display (off course yg halal hehehe..) spaghetti sama pizza segiempat yang ditaburi keju, smoked beef dan garl...

and the foods...

let's conserve our energy

karena tujuan utama pergi ke phil adalah buat kerja, so...first thing first. hari pertama, abis mendarat langsung meeting di DOE (Departemen Energinya Phil), minta Philippine Energy Plan 2006 dan bagi2 souvenir dikit (they love dodol garut !) :-) hari kedua , gelar seminar workshop ttg energy efficiency & conservation which i personally found very interesting. kerjasama dengan Japan Government ini bener2 buka wawasan saya ttg cara menghemat energi. dari mulai untuk bangunan, industri sampai program manajemen energinya sendiri. it is fun and useful to know ternyata banyak banget konsumsi energi yg bisa dikurangin such as menjalankan hanya 1-2 elevator after office hours , pake lampu sensor yang otomatis mati sendiri kalo sinar matahari udah terang, ganti freon di AC dgn jenis hidro karbon, dan pake eskalator yg cuma bergerak kalo ada orang yg mau naik. sebelum nemu energi baru, knapa ga kita hemat yg kita punya dulu? :-)
route : jakarta - changi - manila - makati - taguig city - pasay city - changi - jakarta - bogor :-)

PP

i have been a temporary commuter since last week. that's why i'm one of the first person to come in the office. and now it is soooo.... empty. i feel sleepy...

airports

airports... airports... what should I say about airport ya? In Jakarta we have Soekarno-Hatta and in Philippines they have Ninoy Aquino . samely named with each former president ( Soekarno and vice president Moh.Hatta and Benigno Aquino ). better prepare all necessary documents in one self pocket . 1. passport 2. ticket 3. embarcation card (it has two pages , u should save the other one for your flight back home) 4. all receipts for fiscal, airport tax (especially official trip) 5. boarding pass 6. ballpoint 7. money (if you want to exchange) because when in a rush, everything seem to mess up easily in your bag (i do! hehehe...) so it will help you a lot. if you bring laptop, don't forget to have a simple case . we need to open it back and forth for security checking. for moslem women like me who wears jilbab, dont use jarum pentul like me ya... i forgot it's not permitted, so i have to open all the pentuls and use bros for my jilbab hehehe :-) ninoy aquino is already deco...

on the wings of the plane

last week i went to the Philippines . i took the morning flight 6 AM. i love to have window seat (forget about what i told in my last post , sitting in the exit area is actually not my option hehehe). the sun just shone brightly and i watched a magnificent view up in the sky. subhanallah . again and again i tremble by what God creates. and to know how small and imperfect we are. hanya setitik air di samudera, dan mempunyai noda :-) Allah Maha Pengasih lagi Maha Penyayang. Alhamdulillah. I'll share my stories after this, it was a very nice travel.

cited from here ==================================================== Advice for Traveling Alone ** Avoid checking a bag . This is true of any air travel really, but I find it's much easier to be a self-contained entity when alone, leaving as little responsibility to the airline as possible. There's nobody to search for the right baggage claim with you or to help you talk to the agent if a bag gets lost. By keeping everything with you, there's less chance of error. The biggest advantage of traveling alone is usually the ability to get an exit row seat. If the airline you are flying with allows online check-in (usually available 24 hours before departing time) exit row seats can usually be obtained there. If not, make sure to ask at the gate, as most of the time there will be the odd one exit row seat that nobody has taken because they want to sit with their traveling companions. They get company, you get leg room. Sometimes a book and being able to stretch is better than so...

why it's nice to be a woman

minggu siang di suatu toko tas di katulampa. enggak sengaja menguping sepasang kekasih. Cewe: "Bang! kamu koq di sini? Aku salah orang tadi" (sambil bersungut2) Cowo: "Ada apa? Tadi banyak banget orang seliweran, penuh banget" Cewe: "Ya tadi sambil liat2, orang di sebelahku mirip banget sama kamu (sambil nunjuk orangnya) ya jadinya aku gandeng aja tangannya tu orang, taunya bukan kamu!! Gimana sih! Aku kan jadi malu" (semakin bersungut2) Cowo: (kebingungan) "ya itu salah kamu.. bukannya liat2 dulu" Cewe: "Ya itu salah kamu dong! Bukannya deket2 sama aku!" (berapi2) . . . Cowo: (berusaha pelan-pelan menghela napas) Cowo: "Iyah.. maaf yah" * hihihi.... *
setelah 5 hari (atau bahkan lebih?) menyita otak it is always nice to be back home tempat yang selalu menerima dengan tangan terbuka dan mengisi ulang kemampuan berlarimu untuk 5 hari berikutnya and now it's monday :-) tetap semangat yah semua!

Both of them are my old friends and i am so happy to be included as their special guest (others are their family only).
