10 lovely experiences in 2007

it's almost the end of the year again.. days rolling so easily like a marble in a marmer floor. it shines, it sparkles and it stops for a while to get ready for the next roll :-) my lovely experiences in 2007 1. when i admitted in UI for my postgraduate degree 2. when i receive a gift of firecrackers in front of my computer from dia 3. when my boy mates didn't have any idea what to give for my birthday and decided to give me animal dolls. they said it represent their face (dog, pig and goat) , i mean shio hehehe.. 4. when my niece, Aqeela, asked me to carry her around every time i meet her 5. when i still have time to accompany my grandma and hug her and tell her that i love her before she passed away 6. when i join my new office and have my first travel abroad for free 7. when i have pictures under the kapuk tree, it feels like snow everywhere :-) 8. when me and my sister gave a birthday surprise cake for our parents 9. when dia picked me up in the office (both when i was stil...

wiii....

can you see the plane?

enterprise inc.

this is the place we went on the 3rd day work in the Philippines. It called Enterprise Building. we went there to have a chit chat with the energy management division who handle the building's energy system. it's like most office building in indonesia. what interest me is they have one full floor for restaurants and cafes which tricked me at the first time. i thought this place is a mall rather than offices. really, it was very nice to have lunch there. you can find almost all food around the world here. japanese, korean, arab, and off co urse philippine. variety of coffee from starbucks, new york coffee, etc. you will not find it like a food court but instead like a pave lane with outdoor tables and chairs around u. added up with the nice christmas decoration. very comfortable indee d. :-)

jeepney

the unique public transportation in Philippines. Similar to Angkot in Bogor or Mikrolet in Jakarta. It is very long and has no window glass so u can feel the breezy air aka free AC inside. I rode this once with my friend,it was great. If you sit in the back of the jeepney, people will help passing on your money to the driver and also back to you for the change. jeepneys are colourfully designed and sometimes they creatively decorated it with additional items such as Coca Cola bottle in top of the body. too bad i cant capture that one, it was so eye catching.

that's right

different with Indonesia, Philippine rides their vehicle in the opposite side of ours. they drive in the right side, but like sometimes we find in Indonesia, some of the drivers prefer to drive pretty much wherever they want :-)

demanding energy

3 hari kemarin bak bik bek (baca: grabak grubuk) ngurusin workshop lagi. kali ini tentang energy demand . intinya sih kita diajarin software statistics yang bisa kasih overview, apa sih sebenernya jenis energi yg paling banyak dikonsumsi? berapa banyak peningkatan dari tahun ke tahun? awal2 rada ribet, tapi lama2 menarik juga ya. jadi tau karakteristik per negara . (eh, indonesia termasuk yg data u/ sektor energinya lengkap loh). setelah overview, workshop berikutnya nanti kita belajar meramal energy supply per negara . moga2 aja ada aksi reaksinya. abis workshop, report kita diapprove pemerintah masing2 hehehe... venue: parklane hotel highly recommended. they have a VERY DELICIOUS lunch buffet. sushi, salad, scallop, soup, cream cake, ice cream (pick ur own topping), etc.

turning thirty

dia turned thirty last monday. no special gift (he refused me to sing "Happy Birthday" in the train) there is only him. the way he is. it's more than enough for me. it's already special.
