that i watched during holiday: 3 doa 3 cinta a serious movie. somehow i think Nicholas Saputra is a little bit too handsome among the santris , hehehe... but i like how the movie brings the message of Islam. Dian Sastro's act is not dominant also, that's why in my opinion her name should be placed in the fourth list of actors after Nicholas and his two friends. the day the earth stood still Keanu Reeves really has been much older in this flick (time flies since the Speed!). I love the scene where all those tiny bugs vanished EVERYTHING on the ground within seconds. I can't imagine how scary it will be if it's happening in the reality. But Keanu is still handsome though ;-) transporter 3 bottom line, this movie rocks! love the actor, love the actions and love the cars! the message from all three movies of Transporter must be: buy Audi, it's a must :-)

hello... meet another baby in the big family! this is my nephew, Rasva. He is 4 months-old. Handsome, big, super active and love to smile (but not in this picture hehehe)... I think he has the potential to be a little rascal someday (i can see that, definitely) :)

there's no such thing as old, there's only mature ;-)

today is my last day having my final exam . hopefully for good. i just realized there will be no evening class anymore. no more homework. no more paper. but the saddest thing is no more class mates. now i have to concentrate on my final task to be able to graduate. i hope it will not take more than six months. so i will be able to see myself in the balairung on august. hopefully . doain yah :-)

me and dia went together today to only done one thing. alhamdulillah, in the end our target was accomplished. although it took us one full day for that. but that's fine. i hope dia is fine too. dia must be terribly exhausted since all the way home he's sleeping :-) we'll see the result next month. doain ya, upss,, i'm wrong.. saling mendoakan yah :-)

it feels like months since the last movie i watched. i'm craving for movies now. really.

karena dia ultah kemarin dan ingin membagi2kan kue untuk orang kantornya, saya mem-browse (ini bener ga kata2nya hehehe) situs situs layanan bikin kue di internet dan menemukan ini (thanks to lisa). Kue-kuenya Mba Peni ini memanjakan mata sekali dan menurut teman saya memanjakan lidah juga :-) bener bener menggiurkan! especially karena semuanya costum made by request . sayang belum sempet pesan kemarin karena waktunya juga udah mefet (sunda mode on) tapi bener-bener pengen nyoba nanti. hopefully the taste and service worth the price ;-) kira-kira enaknya pas kapan ya belinya? :-)

i'll tell u the truth. this whole preps has officially freak me out. especially when i know the time is running out. i'm an organized person. i need to list down things to do before i start to work. i need to set up deadlines in order to know how i will finish one task. but you can't be like that when u deal with your family and beloved ones. you can't say all the time that white is white and black is black. u need more tolerance, patience, and smile :-) so now, when i can't complete one task of the preps, i really really need to sit down, take a deep breath, and pray that everything will be smooth. amin.

i have a habit to shoot my foot on every floor that i think is interesting :-) i dont know when it started (probably when i had my own camera hehe)... but now i become more aware with floors that has beautiful pattern . u can see some of my footsteps here . i'll update it regularly :-)

jakarta, jam 5 sore. saya menengok ke luar jendela kantor saya. wah tumben, jalan arteri yg ada di depan kantor masih lengang. saya memutuskan untuk cepat -cepat pulang dengan taksi saja. memilih taksi bukan karena malas, tapi karena bawaan saya banyak (itu malas juga ya artinya? hehehe...) setelah teman kantor saya urung pulang bersama karena masih ada pekerjaan yg belum selesai, saya cepat-cepat mencegat mobil publik itu di jalan. hup! rasa nyaman langsung merambat dan saya pun menyandarkan punggung saya ke jok tempat duduk. tak lama hujan pun turun serintik demi serintik. para pengendara motor menepi untuk berteduh atau mengenakan jas hujan terlebih dahulu. sambil mengamati jalan, saya mengobrol dengan pak supir yang masih berusia awal 30an. senang mendengar ceritanya. beliau bercerita tentang suka duka menjadi supir taksi. mulai dari pergi tanpa membayar, dirampok, dan hampir dihipnotis. untuk yang terakhir ini dia memberi catatan tersendiri. sambil agak menasehati saya, dia bercer...

these are my "friends" who sorrounds me when i am on my travel duties. yes, i do (also) work when i travel :-P

i will attend a seminar thesis today.. not me but my other friends in the campus. it's like a requirement before u can start doing your own thesis. you need to have a card which will be stamped for each seminar you attend. you need to have at least 5. i have one. i will try to catch the other four today.

seperti hari kerja biasanya, pagi ini saya datang ke kantor jam 8 pagi. mengisi kartu absen, meletakkan tas saya, mengisi gelas saya dgn air minum di dispenser kemudian menyalakan komputer sembari mengeluarkan HP dan notes kerja saya. sebelum memulai bekerja, umumnya saya membaca email2 yg masuk dan juga membuka blog saya (hehe..) tp sebelum membuka blog saya menerima email dari teman dekat saya yg memuat tausiyah dari Ustad Yusuf Mansyur . saya membacanya sampai akhir. isinya bagus sekali. Intinya tentang keyakinan pada Allah ketika bersedekah. yakinkah kamu untuk memberikah semua hartamu untuk sedekah dan yakin Allah akan mengembalikan berkali lipat? jujur, saya belum. belum siap. belum yakin. kemudian awalnya saya mengira ketika kita bersedekah sebaiknya kita tidak mengharapkan apa-apa, ikhlas karena Allah ta'ala. kita bersedekah karena kita ingin untuk bersedekah. tapi ternyata (mohon dikoreksi bila saya salah) bahwa sebaiknya justru kita harus mengharap pada Allah. memohon pa...

my nephew's akikahan several months ago. karena ada darah Lampung, s alah satu acara di akekahannya adalah mengambil bendera-bendera kecil ini yang "ditanam" di pohon pisang. bendera ini dilengkapi dengan uang Rp 1000 dan sebutir telur yang dihias dalam keranjang warna-warni. ayo dipilih - dipilih :-)

i've arrived in Indonesia safe and sound, alhamdulillah. melihat kembali posting terakhir saya ttg how lazy i was to go to Singapore, well... i probably should deserve a slap in my face :-) the Singapore trip, instead of extremely lazy, was extremely great! despite that i was placed in a luxurious hotel (alhamdulillah ya Allah) which is a very rare opportunity when u go to Spore (indeed, Spore equals to expensive), i had join a very useful workshop and met incredible people. my presentation also went well, thank God. although at the beginning, i was so lack of confidence because i'm the youngest and just realized that the other invitees were expert on their work. i mean, a REAL scientific expert. but thanks to my colleague, i just spoke and explain about our work the way it is. (and dont forget to pray). in the end, out of my expectation, we received a lot of good inputs and appreciations. yet the best thing, we had an offer from an organization to have a project together. yay!...

next week, me and my colleague will go to Singapore for a two-days workshop. i don't know why, but i feel extremely lazy

gw jarang2 ngomentarin tentang layanan penyedia jasa yang ada di Indonesia , selain karena males :-) kedua karena saya merasa layanan yang ada masih belum pantas buat dikomentarin (kecuali di surat pembaca Kompas). Tapi kali ini gw ngerasa ada baiknya buat komentarin salah satu penyedia jasa transportasi udara negara kita, Garuda Indonesia . Diluar dari segala keterbatasannya, Garuda udah banyak memperlihatkan kemajuan dari berbagai segi, terutama (yang kerasa banget) adalah service staffnya, mulai dari counter check in sampe pramugarinya. Gw ngerasa mbak-mbak di counter check in sekarang lebih ramah (ini pengalaman gw yah) daripada yang di luar negeri. secara gw orangnya males banget liat orang yang ga senyum padahal dia kerja di perusahaan yang service oriented. jadi i was happy waktu si mbak tersenyum (itu berarti loh buat konsumen) and happier waktu ditanya mau duduk di mana(window atau aisle) which sometimes other airplane don't do that except when you ask for it. another...

The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho My review rating: 5 of 5 stars I chose to read the English version in order to capture the original essence of what Paulo Coelo wrote (without any dislike to those talented interpreters). The words for me are quite easy to digest. The story of the boy is actually quite simple and short, but Paulo succeed in pouring many wise lessons about life in each page of it :-) i believe after u read this u will be refreshed and reminded to step back to out original self, to be positive and to never give up on your dream :-) View all my reviews.

have u tried to do something spontaneous ? travel to Bali the next day or quit from job? i did yesterday , though mine is quite simple and less risk :-) i took one day leave on the last minute. love it . i don't need to wake up early, i can play my favourite NDS game, i can continue to read The Alchemist, i can watch gossip in three TV channels, i can drive around Bogor with my mom and eat Mie Taken, and i can meet my lovely nieces , Ajeng and Aqeela. Since the baby girl Ajeng has slept, I spent the night playing with the 5 years old, Aqeela. - we sang Laskar Pelangi's soundtrack by Nidji - we conversed in English (not all the time off course) - she showed me her drawing book and told me aaalll the picture in the book while sitting on my lap - we played with clays and made some colourful hair pin and dices from it - i took her to bed and read her a story book in the end, she gave me a big great hug :-) that's what i call extraordinary.

This October I had a chance to visit Bangkok again. Bangkok is one of my favourite place to go since, truly speaking, they have many cute and cheap goods . From bags to sandals, from brooches to pashmina... i can't hardly resist it! Here are some pics of the trip. my lovely niece, Diajeng Sekar Kaliana, 2 months :-)

i'm at home now. a very relaxing home. i had two travel schedule in the past two weeks. One was to Bangkok and the other to Singapore. It was fascinatingly tired , but excited as well. I faced new stories and new friends, new work assignment and new places to visit. And it's not only about work, I was like in a trial to balance my life between office work, travel work, paper assignment for my study, mid-exam and my wedding preps. It was challenging :-) Next week I will head off to Bangkok again. And I will have my mid exams too. But lets speak about balancing them later. It's Saturday now , the day when you can do nothing but relax. So let's put all those paper work behind and inhale... hmmm... i can sense the relaxing atmosphere already : -) happy weekend!

i love this long holiday . i really do. senangnyaaaa.... and to be even happier, i dont have to go to the office for the next three weeks!! yay! hehehe,,, enjoy the rest of your holiday teman2! :-)

i have thought for quite long, what other refreshing topic i should post in my blog (rather than my curhat) when i just realize i should've told about her Risol here :-) Lisalicious is her brand name. Her name? Lisa , a dear friend of mine. She sells many lovely pastries, but her RISOL is THE BEST . It has big size, and the content(meat, egg, mayonnaise)is so rich it makes your heart melt . The other good things about her risol is: u can change the ingredient according to your taste (no eggs, more spicy, etc) and there is NO minimum order .with delivery service off course. But before I blab around too much, it is better for you to try it by yourself. you wont regret it. Super delicious lisalicious!

i can smell the sense of holiday soon! yay! next tuesday, we will not be at the office ;-)

don't u think it's strange? when u see or feel our touch something that doesn't act like the way they should be . like today,and several days before. when my rainy city feels extremely hot . without rain. without wind. and it makes u need to change your clothes style . or maybe somebody . when u think he/she is a good person all this time. and once they show u a disrespect manner . and it makes u really dissapointed . don't u question? guess if there's something wrong ? will u still trust them? or you have to change your "behaviour" to them also? i choose trust . at least i'll try, although it probably will not be easy . and i will wait and see . if the city , the he , or the she can see my trust, and respect it back.

yesterday. yes, Friday has always been the most lovely day of all days in a week. after the "Freaky Friday" last week, yesterday's journey back to our hometown was so smooth . the train was not late , we even can choose where to sit (which is a rare opportunity, consider that it's Friday and everybody wants to come home early), the aircon inside is cool , and the train was fast w e arrive before adzan . and we had a perfect dinner also. after rejected by Kedai Kita because we forgot to reserve hehehe... we took pray first in the mosque (we prefer mosque than musholla, lebih khusyu') and then we ended at o ne of the seafood stalls along Pajajaran Street. we forgot the name since we were so hungry (or was it only me?) and we ordered sup asparagus kepiting , puyunghai kepiting, bihun masak udang, and kerang goreng saus mentega . we were so full, we cancelled our initial plan to have coffee together today, we will have buber together with dia's friends at Sa...

i'm so happy this morning. i received a gift from dia's friend (which makes him a friend of mine too right? hehehe) he gave me three CDs : 1. My Blueberry Night soundtrack 2. High School Musical 2 soundtrack 3. Andra and the Backbone season 2 it makes me smile all the way in the train. yet the best part is he will try to find me Andra's signature for my CD cover ... yay! i cant wait to hear all the songs. hope i can still concentrate with my work (yeah, go figure)

i'm such a cranky and impatience person. i'm cranky when i'm tired . and when i'm tired and cranky i can be a super unfriendly person. u should not mess up with me when i'm cranky. u can ask dia, he knows me the best. just like yesterday (and many days we had together) when the train was late . i was exhausted by the un-normal Friday work pressur e , i havent eaten although i was not fasting, and dia talked unnecessary things (duh maaf ya sayang), so i expected at least we can go home to our town in a decent time, decent train, and decent seat . but when i watched the train was late and the train people (or whatever they are called) don't have any idea where the train is (which so not make sense for me), i was so tired and cranky i can eat all the people around me but again, there's dia, and he's the best . he makes me feel better by massaging my head. and i feel much better when the train finally comes and i fortunately got a seat u know? all i ...

is officialy one year i've worked at my new place. as of today, i should not consider it as new anymore :-) alhamdulillah, for the past one year i've learned so many things on my work and environment. i have to adapt with how jakarta treats its worker every day... learn how to understand the invisible rules of using train... and realize that now i need to wash my face and hand more often (polusinya... kaga nahan) and in the past one year i've been given many rare opportunities to visit other people's countries and culture. i learn how to run fast in the airport when u have a tight transit schedule. learn how to pack and unpack quickly. learn how to eat without sambal :-) and learn many other things that i feel so thankful of. and the best part is... it's all free. alhamdulillah. alhamdulillah. hopefully we can always make the best of our life, stand up tall and keep your feet on the ground , dont u think so? :-)

meet my new niece, Diajeng Sekar Kaliana . she was born in 8 August 2008 , what a golden birth date :-) arti namanya? lupa kalo sekar apa, tapi Kaliana artinya baik hati . Ajeng has a very thick and black hair. Cantik (off course hehehe), kalem, nangis kalo haus dan pengen bobo aja, and i saw her smile once when i took her picture.. welcome baby girl ... i will be your best tante in the whole world :-)

bersyukurlah kita yang memiliki Ramadhan. (bukan meng-under estimate keyakinan yang lain...) ini hanya kesan pribadi saya. bagi saya, Ramadhan membawa nuansa yang berbeda daripada hari-hari biasanya. bulan ini ibarat kata "pencuci" bulan-bulan lain dalam satu tahun . saya yang terbiasa sarapan dua kali (atau bahkan lebih hehehe...) dan kurang dapat mengendalikan maunya perut sehingga hal-hal yang seharusnya saya bisa lebih fokus malah jadi tersampingkan, di bulan Ramadhan ini menjadi lebih teratur. perut pun entah kenapa tidak meronta-ronta minta diisi (kecuali kalo menjelang adzan magrib kali ya..hehehe) dan pikiran pun lebih fokus (mau gimana lagi, makan ga bisa minum tak mampu). suasana Ramadhan pun lebih menyenangkan, menjadi penyegar di bulan-bulan lain . selain kita semua berbuka di jam yang sama, silaturahmi pun terasa lebih kental di bulan suci ini. jadwal buka puasa bersama entah dengan keluarga besar, teman SMA, teman kuliah, teman satu gang (gank maksudnya) mulai p...

After finishing Prof Layton and Secret Files: Tunguska , I am currently addicted with this game . Actually, the two of us are . It's a story about an attorney, Phoenix Wright , who tries to win his defendant on a trial. U have to guess the right evidence to show to the judge and you have to choose the right plea. N ot bad to learn about law from this game . But sometimes the story doesn't relate at all with the trial. it's not a very serious game, u even will laugh sometimes, dont worry. We become so addicted, we divide the game series. The first series, Trial and Tribulation is played by dia, and the second, Justice for All , by me. Dia plays it in the train and I play it at home. hehehe... fair enough right? So if one time you see us arguing about something, don't think anything bad. we are just discussing on the game nds do make ur life easier ;-)

Astral Astria by Fira Basuki My review rating: 5 of 5 stars Fira Basuki, cemerlang. Novel ke-17 nya Astral Astria bagi saya semakin mengukuhkan dirinya sebagai seorang sastrawati Indonesia. Agak harus mengingat-ingat novel Fira terdahulu (Jendela, Pintu dan Atap) karena cerita Astral Astria berelasi dengan novel-novel tersebut. Saya mungkin bukan orang yang rajin membaca buku sehingga saya sempat kesulitan menangkap arti cerita novel Fira di bab-bab pertama. Tapi ketika saya berhasil menangkap apa yang sedang diceritakannya, saya seperti tenggelam dalam dunia Astria. Mengagumkan, karena Fira begitu piawai menggabungkan fiksi dan non fiksi. Sejarah kerajaan Jawa, gunung Dieng, dan berbagai ilmu pengetahuan lain mampu Fira ramu dengan takaran yang pas dan mendetail. Saya selalu mendapatkan pengetahuan baru dari hasil karyanya. signs of energy saving in my office: elevators can only stop in even number floors (2, 4, 6). u have to use the stairs to go to the odd floors. i stay in the even number so apparently the rule doesn't effect me *ha ha ha... gotcha* no air conditioner before 8.30 AM and after 4 PM. a good reason to come late and leave early *yippie!!* we have to turn off the light in the corridor after 4 PM or if it's unused. nice, my office now filled with more sunlight than artificial one :-) what else ya? i think those are the one that paid my attention most. if i work late (note: late in my office means 5.30 - 6 PM) i will find a dark lobby downstairs when i go home. can u call that energy saving also? hehehe... save the energy for your children's future

hello,,, here i am back in the office again. it's another monday :-) and yesterday hopefully was the last wedding invitation before Ramadhan. yes, there were so many wedding invitation, i couldn't list them down (berlebihan),,, not that i didn't enjoy it, but the number is so remarkable. maybe u can call 2008 as the wedding of the year. no complain though. i have a friend who has even more wedding invitation every single week and in various places! i just heard from her that she just came back from Padang, to attend her friend wedding and become one of the committee. once she also showed her friend's wedding schedule up to december 2008. hehehe... well guys, it's just to share with u all. i do have no complain, they are my friends after all. but one saturday with a daster and a cup of coffee in your home will be nice. supaya lebih semangat datang ke nikahan2 lagi tentunya :-) happy Monday!

this morning i have an additional companion in the train , my longtime friend. she went with us to jakarta to attend a gathering, which eventually hosted by dia's office. she was one of the successful awardees of a famous scholarship in Indonesia. and today she is invited to join the pre-departure meeting. we spent our time in the train chit chat about all the stuffs that we can remember. school, family, ex-boyfriends, gossip and many more. it's nice since we haven't talk that much after both of us busy with our work. what i like most is when we had a moment looking back at the time when we were still high school. headed to university and work. and now... university again. we took a different path, though. i took it while i am working inside indonesia, she took it after working for 2 years and her study is overseas. she adores me because of my dual life system, i adore her for her timeless effort to gain a scholarship and now will able to enjoy seven different countries in ...

i'm not used to be the centre of attention. i prefer also not to. but once in your life (okay, maybe several times), u need to stand up there on stage and be the one who gets most shots of the day :-) this is just the beginning

divortiare by Ika Natassa My review rating: 4 of 5 stars hello there! after a long pause i finally went back to reading (yes, i'm such a looser on reading) and i decided to bought this novel, Divortiare by Ika Natassa. I saw it first from Ninit Yunita's blog, and thought I should buy it. My first impression, I love the cover. It's unique, simple yet eye catching. My final impression, love it. I love the characters (although I wonder if Denny is really exist, he's an angel!), love the mixture of languages she used both in the content and titles, and love the end of story. why? some may said it's not end yet, ika must have plan to extend or continue the story. for myself, i love the ending because... it's so realistic. apa adanya. not a happy ending yet dramatic conclusion which some writers do to satisfy their readers (which totally fine by the way), but a reality that mostly happen in our life. congrats ya ika! i'm looking forward for your next book :-...

i'm a faithful user of express train. some may disagree with me. they says it's not convenient, too many stressful rubber time (jam karet), and unwanted surprises (rel anjlok dan segala macam). but still, i commute everyday by train, i prefer train to any other transport modes and find the joyful of it. the nice thing of using train is: train has its own road. it makes u feel special and less close with traffic jam it's fast. really, when they want to, they can be really fast. u will arrive in jakarta from bogor for less than one hour. it's smooth i like it, it's less bumpy than car people are more tolerant. for those who commute everyday, we become close even if we don't know each other personally. for example: - we share newspaper to sit together on the floor. - people give their hand to help us to climb up the train (usually at the dipo, where train parks). - people let know of each other if the train is late or have trouble (hehehe...) u will have tuk...
