Monday

It is raining softly outside. The kids and husband are already asleep. I am reading a brief interview with Frans Wizner , the author of Honeymoon with my Brother. Peaceful. Good night! Source: http://www.oprah.com/oprahshow/Overcoming-the-Odds/6

Mengapa 1 hari = 24 jam?

Selamat membaca!

Sunday

I mostly spend my weekend at home. Too lazy to stretch out of bed. Like now I am accompanying my oldest son taking a nap whilst reading Honeymoon with My Brother. I bought this years ago and never managed to finish it. I am planning to seriously read it now. I need to keep up my English reading skill. Have a good weekend!

Places to visit in Solo

Here are in brief, interesting places to visit in Solo, Indonesia. 1) Pasar Klewer (traditional market)     Again, as a loyal follower of batik, I enjoy going through the crowded yet narrow passage in the market just to find a good and (hopefully) cheap batik cloth. I was in awe when we found a small shop which displayed an array of batik tulis all over the wall. The prices are reasonably expensive but you can also find cheap ones (which fits my financial situation) if you eager enough to bargain :) I wish I had more time strolling around this market, maybe next time I will be lucky enough. 2) Museum Danar Hadi The fee to enter the museum is quite cheap, only IDR 25K. Unfortunately we couldn't get in because the staff said they were having a special guest inside. I wonder who the special guest is. But as an alternative you can also wander around the shop though for me it is expensive (especially after visiting Pasar Klewer!) but the idea of the d...

I just love batik

Places to visit in Yogyakarta

Thought I would share some of the places that we visited during our family trip a few days ago. Hope it is useful for you somehow :) >> Yogyakarta 1. Pasar Beringharjo Address : Jl. Pabringan 1, Yogyakarta 55122, Indonesia Phone : (0274) 515 871, 561 510     Definitely a must go place for batik lovers like me. It is super crowded given that we went there on the exact Christmas day but if you are patience enough you can find interesting stuff there. Don't lazy to bargain as they usually offer the 1st price twice more expensive than the real price. So for example a trouser that costs IDR 75K is actually worth only IDR 30K. So do bargain! :) 2. Pempek Ny Kamto     I am not a huge fan of pempek if I can find other food, but I am in love with this one. This small restaurant looks insignificant from the outer skirt but when you enter the place and taste the food you can instantly understand why there is a long line at the counter :) 3. Bakpia Pat...
safely landed back at home. Alhamdulillah, it was a pleasant break. being away from television for five days in a row feels like a detox for me. I know nothing about the world outside. But to some extent that is good as I don't have a reason to be worried, for example, about the potential of bombing in the event of Christmas. You practice yourself to be ignorant, in a positive way :) Fortunately, I can still went through the days because I have my cellphone and signal haha... I can't imagine if I don't have one. That gadget, to be honest, keeps me sane when the television is not available. Anyway as I said, remoting myself from television brought a lot of good aspect including increasing my spare time to play with the kids. I am not a TV junkie though, but even then I can still feel now that there is no TV, I kind of need time to adjust myself not to have the feeling of wanting to watch it hahaha. 2014 is approaching. I hope all of you are well. I have some ideas which ...
We are currently on a family vacation. It is unbearably fun especially because the kids get to adventure new things. But I also cannot deny, although holiday is nice.. but I also miss being at home. I love travel but I also love doing nothing at home. Perhaps that is why I am half Sagittarian and half Capricorn ;) it's a matter of keeping them balance,no? Good night!
It is raining cats and dogs out there, on this very Saturday. But to me it is a perfect ambience. I love rain. I love being at home. and here I am wearing my T-shirt and shorts. sipping a cup of coffee. my kid is playing beside me. and me, finally opening up my blog again. a really peaceful feeling. it is raining outside. and I love it.
