The Wedding Girl

Just finished reading the Wedding Girl by Sophie Kinsella , one of my favourite novelist. I was told by my friend, Oe, that Sophie Kinsella is not her real name. Her name is actually Madeleine Wickham! :) I always love romantika di amor kind of book. Like this one hehehe. It stories about a girl named Milly Havill who is going to get married with her boyfriend Simon Pinnacle. Nothing too be worried except that Milly has not yet told Simon that she was married before... with a gay! :D And from there other issues arise... not only from Milly but from other members of her family. Sophie Kinsella is always able to raise unxpected love problems from many angles. From the view of a long time married couple, from a widow, from a homosexual, and successfully harmonize it all into a happy but unexpected ending :) One of my favourite line in this novel: " When you get married, don't feel like you have to change. Don't change anything, just be the way you are " " Love is n...

about being tough

I am having my second pregnancy. It has the same excitement like Razki :) I feel anxious every time we visit the doctor. Smile when seeing its picture on the screen during USG session. And can't wait for the next visit. The difference is perhaps I feel more relax and less worried. I eat what I want to eat without overwhelmed myself if the food is good for me and the baby or not. (Don't worry, I am not drinking coke or eat sushi) Another difference is I feel weak almost all day. When I have Razki in the first trisemester, I had an afternoon sickness where I threw up almost everyday after arriving back home. This one is different. I don't throw up but I feel really weak and sick most of the time. It makes me sad because I can't accompany Razki as much as I want to. But I really hope this will soon pass away after I enter the second trisemester. By the way, it has been 11 weeks now. I hope everything is going to be ok :) Photographer: Janis Christie via Getty Images

How to recognize parcels and mail bombs

There are currently many occurrences of book bombs sent by unidentified sources. Be aware if you receive the letter or package with the following characteristics, they might have an explosive device inside: Unexpected or unsolicited mail, both domestic or foreign Excessive weight for its size Rigid envelope Lopsided or uneven envelope or package Excessive securing material Protruding wires, string, tinfoil, etc Oily stains or discoloration Strange smells Excessive number of postage stamps Restrictive marks (‘personal’/’private’ etc) Handwritten or poorly typed address Source unknown; no return address Incorrect titles or titles with no names Misspelling of common words taken from my office's daily newsletter today. Spore story - part 1

finally, last week, alhamdulillah we had a chance to visit Singapore for holiday. yes, my little family, my father, mother and sister. rombongan sirkus :) and it was super awesome. no work related at all. And... it is Razki's first experience to fly. I was the one who were most worried. Bringing a 16 months baby in the airplane is a whole new experience for me. I was worried if Razki did not feel comfortable with the air pressure, with the limited seat space (Razki was not given his own seat so I have to put him on my lap). I was worried if the food was not good, if Razki doesn't want to drink his milk and the worst is if he cries. Ini selain bikin deg-degan juga bikin mokal emaknya. hahaha... But thankfully all my worries didn't happen at all. During our flight to Singapore Razki enjoyed pressing the TV screen in front of our seat, reading books and not long fell asleep. And during our flight back to Jakarta, Razki slept just before take off and woke up after we landed! :D...

Agus and Yuan's wedding

Have I told you before that I have a group of friends when I was in college called "Nonggeng"? There are 8 of us and yesterday Yuan is the last member who gets married, yay! I am so happy for her. Yuan is one of the closest friend in the group. I used to stay over in her kost-kostan, share my stories about boyfriends (haha!) and copying her homework :P and now she is married. My feeling mixed everytime I see my friend going down the aisle, look stunning with her wedding dress and show her best smile. :) Oh and the best part is she held her wedding the same date with her birthday. How smart! Happy blessful wedding, de. Semoga tambah banyak rejeki, tambah banyak kebahagiaan buat ade. Hugs and kisses!
